This year we are mixing things up a bit. While we won’t be having a Color Splash Run we will be having another fun themed run. So please stay tuned. If you would like to be emailed when the registration please fill out the form on the Color Splash Run page.
This year the 4-H Duck Race will again be held in conjunction with the Compost Fair from Noon to 4 p.m. with the duck drop at 2pm. There will be live music and entertainment (including Rot-n-Roll and one-of-a-kind Compost Theatre), information booths, activities for kids, bins (including worm bins) for sale, continuous tours of our compost demonstration site and more!
HOW IT WORKS
Each Spring, 4-H members and volunteers team up to put on this fun, family-friendly event that raises as much as $12,000 for 4-H programs in Tompkins County. Individuals take “Chances” on numbered rubber ducks in the race, at $5/duck or $20/a flock of 5 ducks. See “How To Enter”.
A $750 Cash “Nest Egg” goes to the first duck across the finish line. 50 more Runner-Up prizes will be awarded to winning ducks. See our “Sponsors” and the complete list of prizes.
You need not be present to win, but why miss the fun?!! All proceeds benefit 4-H Youth Programs in Tompkins County.
